The UT-ORNL joint institutes' role is to provide distinctive, enabling capabilities in select, high-priority areas that create new opportunities that complement existing strengths at UT and ORNL.
The Science Alliance fosters and supports UT-ORNL efforts to organize and develop self-sustaining joint institutes through programmatic and grant support.
